Other InfoHe won his Military Cross for action at: THE BATTLE OF THE SELLE 918th October 1918) "Machine-guns firing from the right flank held up 'C' and 'D' Companies. 'A' Company, less strongly opposed, pushed on to the crest of the high ground above Bazuel. There a sharp fire was opened on them, and a German field battery not four hundred yards away fired at them point blank through the mist. Lieut. W. H. Reynolds quickly brought his Lewis-guns into action, the German gunners hastily withdrew, and 'A' Company rushed the guns (77 m.m. field-guns) with little loss."
