Other Info | He was although severely wounded a second time at Broadmarsh Crater, Vimy Ridge on 28th April 1916, but refused to leave his company, and continued in command during four hours of heavy fighting until the danger had passed - He was awarded the Military Cross for his actions. His citation read "For conspicuous gallantry.Though badly wounded he refused to leave his post. He showed great determination and carried on his duty for four hours. The situation became quieter, and he then went to the dressing-station." He died age 22 on the 29th May 1918 at Lhery, France. Son of the late Dr. Charles D. and Mrs. Mabel Muspratt, of Bournemouth.
