Other Info | He was commissioned in to the 13th Battalion (Forest of Dean, Pioneers) Gloucestershire Regiment on the 27th April 1915 as a Temporary Second Lieutenant. He transferred to the 13th January 1916 and promoted to Temporary Lieutenant on the 6th March 1916. Appointed Acting Captain on the 16th May 1917 whilst commanding a Company and appointed Temporary Captain on the 28th May 1917. Died at his home at Bristol on the 11th August 1963, age 70. In his civil life he was Deputy Chief Valuer to the City of Bristol, and he served as a Lieut.-Colonel in the Bristol Home Guard in the Second World War. |
