| Other Info | Died age 30. Son of Henry and Sarah Wright, of 54 Potters Hill, Aston, Birmingham. On the 7th November 1914 in the darkness between 3 and 4 a.m. very heavy shell-fire was opened on the British line east of Ploegsteert Wood, Belgium. For an hour shells crashed down on the Battalion's line killing most of the men. Then about 5 a.m. masses of German infantry came plunging through the fog.
