| Other Info | Born in 1896. Enlisted in 1915 and was posted to France with the 8th Battalion. He fought in France and was wounded, shot in the hip. After recovering in the UK he was posted to the 9th Battalion in Mesopotamia where he served for the rest of the war. In 1927 he emigrated to Australia where he became a fruit grower in Victoria. He served in the Australian Army in WW2. when he was 103 years old he received the Legion d'Honneur from the French Consul General. |
